Gala CERE

The Public Participation Awards Gala is CeRe’s (The Resource Center for Public Participation) annual event, which rewards citizens, civic groups, and organizations that, through their advocacy efforts, bring about change for the good of the communities they represent. The Gala has been a landmark for activism and public participation for 11 years and has awarded no less than 131 public participation initiatives.

The 2020 edition was under the tagline: “We’ll build statues for the civic people”. Not only great heroes and personalities deserve a statue but also the simple men and women who through their, most of the time, invisible beliefs and actions get to transform the communities and society they live in.
